Abstract

Information is provided about the activities of scientists and employees of the Central Institute of occupational diseases of the people’s Commissariat of health of the USSR and other scientifi c and practical institutions during the great Patriotic war, the role of labor hygienists and occupational pathologists in the development of issues to improve health care for workers in the defense industry factories, as well as at the frontline positions.
